Announcing The Open Book Collective x Better Read Than Dead

It’s official — our first collaboration has launched! And it’s with our favourite Sydney bookshop, Better Read Than Dead in Newtown.

Better Read Than Dead wanted something fun, different and recognisable for their loyal customers in the Inner West community to wear, a little bit of book swag which speaks to their identity as booklovers and shows their support of this brilliant independent bookshop. And we were SO into that brief.

We loved working their retro-fabulous colour palette of teal, dark green, mustard yellow and burnt orange. We lightened it up delicate white accents on the spines of the books and opted for gold for this design to hark back to the classic gold-foil-lettering-on-leather style.
